YASS and YOWANI record wins on Sunday 7th April – the penultimate weekend for 2024 PENNANTS.

Three Pennant Finals were held on the first Sunday that daylight saving ended (7th April) with Yass teams in each of these finals. Despite the heavy rains on the Saturday of this weekend all courses were playable. Thankfully, all of them were completed in regulation time.

In B Scratch, Yowani secured their first pennant of the 2024 season with a close win 4-2 over Yass, at the Gungahlin Lakes Golf course.

In the Handicap division, Yass were much too strong for their opponents, Fairbairn, on the Queanbeyan Golf Course and finished with a score of 5.5 games to 0.5 game . Individual wins of 8&7, 7&5 and 6&4, for 3 of the matches, indicates that these Yass players certainly brought their AAA games to the venue.

Gail Goiser, who refereed the Junior Contest at RMC provided the following report on the Yass win over Royal. This is the 3rd year in a row that Yass have won the Junior Pennant.
