The following six individuals have been selected to represent the ACT-Monaro DGA at the GolfNSW Country Championships, which are scheduled to be played on the weekend 9th and 10th of November 2024 at the Parkes Golf Club:
Noah Bricknell (Goulburn Golf Club), Steve Bricknell (Goulburn Golf Club), Dom Falk (Goulburn Golf Club) Jarred Hunt (Goulburn Golf Club), Jarred Porter (Yass Golf Club) and Nathan White (Yowani Golf Club).
The GolfNSW “Country Championships” event is a two-round 18-holes stroke event. It also includes an inter-district teams event, with the best 4 scores of 6 counting each day.
Several individuals from the ACT Monaro DGA have won this event in the recent past (including Royal’s Harry Bolton, Gold Creek’s Josh Armstrong and Gungahlin Lakes’ Jake Davies). DGA Captain Jim Jackson would not be surprised if one of the individuals, listed above, does not carry on with this tradition.
This year the individual STROKE Gross winner also receives an entry into the NSW Open.
Note: The photo above is not of this actual team, but shows a recent ACT Team from another inter-district event, but two of Country Champs team (Jarred Porter and Noah Bricknell) are in the front row (2nd & 3rd from L).
