On another great day for play at Queanbeyan Golf Club, Royal Canberra prevailed over defending champions Federal in a strongly-contested final for the A Grade Division 3 2025 Pennant trophy.
With both clubs having invested heavily in the development of their respective A Grade Pennant programs in recent years, it came down to performance on the day.
Through the Par 3, 8th hole, honours were pretty close, but Royal pulled in front, on the back nine, and the result of the contest was declared at the 16th hole once Royal had 2 wins and 3 dormie matches.
Both Captains acknowledged the privilege of maintaining their ongoing rivalry, and thanked Queanbeyan for making their course available.
