A smallish group of 21 keen juniors played in the ACT Monaro DGA’s Junior Classic at YOWANI on Thursday. As normal, the field was split into stroke and stableford divisions, for the lower and higher handicapped juniors entered.
The weather was lovely and the course — now only 9-holes – was in excellent condition. Unfortunately, some of the players went left on holes 1, 2 and 3 which is now a construction site and bordered by metal fencing, but Yowani’s Match Committee’s stalwart, Les Wallece was on hand to help with “free drops” as this area is GUR and not Out of Bounds.
