The 2024 ACT Senior Championships are scheduled for Tuesday 12th November to Thursday 14th November at the Queanbeyan, Gold Creek and Gungahlin Lakes Golf Clubs. The main organiser of this event, District Captain Jim Jackson, opened up the event for entries on 5th September and has already received 36 entries — about a third of these are from regulars, the rest are new entrants. The MAXIMUM FIELD is around 120 and will be allocated on first-come/first served basis. So if you are interested please enter soon.
This event is a 3-day STROKE event, open to all amateurs over 50 years of age (men & women) with a GA handicap (men less than 12.4; women less than 18.4); it is a serious stroke event for the ‘more-mature gun golfers’ – I have been asked if it is suitable for “social golfers” (that hold a Golflink h/c) to play — the answer is “not really”.
ENTRY FEE: $200 (incl. GST) — includes all green fees, presentation lunch (at close of play Thursday), heaps of voucher prizes. Carts allowed (no medical certificate required) – but individuals need to book direct with individual Club ProShops (numbers below).
Tee times from 10:00am on Tuesday at Queanbeyan, 8:00am on Wednesday at Gold Creek, and ShotGun 8:00am on Thursday.
