The 2022 District Championships will be played at the GOLD CREEK COUNTRY CLUB on Sunday 18th December 2022, with tee times from 11:00am. This is an 18-hole stroke event mainly for the better, low-handicapped players in the district. Current Club Champions, past-Club Champions, current and past Junior and Seniors Club Champions are especially welcome. The district supplies very generous voucher prizes to the winners of the Scratch and Nett Competitions. The field is limited to around 60 players. Normally, a seeded draw is used, but playing groups/partners can be requested on the entry form.

This is also the final round of the ACT-Monaro DGA’s ORDER-OF-MERIT competition for this year. Again, the District supplies generous voucher prizes to both the Scratch and Nett Divisions. The Scratch Winner also wins a golf “jacket/wind-cheater/jumper” (of their own choosing), which the district then has suitably embroidered.

Over 1,000 players have recored scores in 2022 version of the ACT-MOOM. Currently, Royal’s Harry Bolton is leading the SCRATCH COMPETITION with 705 points, 76 points ahead of Yowani’s Kacper Gancarz. Then, Kacper is over 100 points ahead off his Yowani Compatriot Adam Hayes (510 points), the rest of the filed are then pretty close with Angelo Bourandanis, Chris Lynch, John Fitzgerald and Jonathan Ricks within striking distance for good prizes. A similar list of names appears in the Nett division, but with only one other player — Fairbairn’s Rob Walters — not amongst the Scratch leaders.
